Memorex usually sell decent DVDs at a good price and these are not an exception. In terms of quality, Memorex is pretty good, but I have had coasters with them in the past when other DVDs from Maxell and Verbatim had no problems. Nevertheless, switching to a newer DVD drive has fixed the problem; so, perhaps, older drives (such as my 4 year old BenQ one) ran into incompatibilities with the DVD. I read that DVD+R are suppose to have some advantages over DVD-R, but I believe these features have not yet been exploitation and I doubt they ever will. Therefore, choosing DVD-R or DVD+R should not worry you. Just pick whichever looks better (these DVD+R are silver and fairly plain, which looks great)...
