Shipping
Technology Direct ships exclusively with Canada Post to our customers worldwide. The shipping options available will vary depending upon where you reside. When you begin the checkout process and select your location, our system will provide you with the available shipping options if more than one are offered for your area. You may then select whatever method you prefer. Pick-up Orders (As of July 25, 2007) For local customers, the option is available to pick up your order at our Mississauga Office and save on the cost of shipping. Simply select the "Pick-up at Store" option during checkout. Once the order is received, we will contact you and advise as to when your item(s) will be available. The Mississauga office is located at: 268 Lakeshore Road E, Suite 401 Our current pick-up hours are every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 9:30PM. Weekend and other evenings may be accommodated by appointment. Access to the building during this time is controlled by an intercom system.
Product Returns We want you to be completely satisfied with your shopping experience and receive prompt service in the event there is a problem with your order. Please review the terms below to expedite the return process.
Accepted Conditions for Return:
- DOA (“Dead on Arrival”) and defective products:
- Where no manufacturer's warranty is available, and unless otherwise stated in the item description, Technology Direct backs all it's products for a specified period against defects/DOA with our "Defect Protection Plan".
- Incorrect item shipped:
- If we ship the incorrect product we will work to resolve this as quickly as possible and at no cost to you.
- Unopened product:
- We will gladly credit or refund your purchase provided it is returned unopened and in the exact condition it was received in accordance with our policy below.
Return Policy:
- All returns must be pre-approved otherwise they will not be accepted.
- RMA requests must be made within the specified warranty period. For DOA protected products, requests must be made within 5 business days after receipt of product.
- Defective items will be exchanged unless a replacement product is not available. In these cases a refund or store credit will be issued.
- For non-defective products, a store credit or cash refund will be offered. A 10% restocking fee may be applicable and charged at our discretion.
- Once approved, RMA products must be returned to us within 7 business days for Canadian customers and 14 business days for International customers.
- In many cases, a manufacturer’s warranty may apply and the end user can obtain service directly through them. Applicable manufacturer warranties will be noted in the product descriptions. We will gladly help facilitate service with the manufacturer where possible.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable except in the instance where we shipped the wrong product or have confirmed an item to be defective while under warranty. The shipping refund process is described in our RMA instruction form sent via e-mail.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage through the postal or courier service.
- Tampering or abuse voids this policy and we reserve the right to refuse the shipment.
- If you are unsure about any features or compatibility of a product, please contact us first prior to ordering and we will provide any information you require.
Return Process:
- In cases where a product needs to be returned and meets the above conditions, you must first obtain an RMA number. Email Service with your name, order number, name of the product, and the specific problem you have encountered.
- We will endeavor to e-mail your RMA number within 3 business days and will include additional instructions to facilitate the return of your item and if applicable, a return shipping refund.
- We strongly recommend you use a postal or courier service that provides tracking capabilities as well as sufficient insurance coverage to protect you against lost packages or damage incurred while in transit.
